The Lie…

Musician beside a campfire and traditional instruments in an Andean valley

This is a new song I wrote today, raw and not too tidied, capturing the theme of “The Lie…” and how the power of a liar is no simple thing.

Unfortunately many ‘white knight’ hero’s are captured by the story, the deep seated desire to bring forth the fall of another.

This reminds us to listen carefully, and not to believe every narrative sold to us, even if it means not always buying into a story without a critical assessment.

I wanted to write something to test what prompt-lee could achieve by my creative influence with prompts. I used both standard Genres, and also Technical prompters.

I developed this with my own words, but utilising www.prompt-lee.com prompters supplied here:

Andean Folk, bittersweet, choir backing vocals, nylon string guitar, brisk tempo, locrian mode, dynamic production

dampened / muted drums, acoustic guitar with strummed, harmonics and gentle arpeggios

string section, occasional divisi harmonies, cello led by dark tremolo wash, harp led by arpeggiated cascades, trumpet led by rip up flourish, occasional harmon / wah mute buzz, timpani led by damped dead strokes with soft felt warm resonance

Original song (c.) JourneeMan creativity (2026.)
